Sofitel Sanya Leeman Resort

Everything exceeded our expectations including activities provided for children, comfort of rooms, meticulous cleaning of rooms by Emily, wonderful personal service by Xiao Xue who informed us of hotel activities and events and a delicious and extensive buffet with Asian and western options. I particularly liked the quiet beach pool by the seaside.

The check-in process was inefficient, with long waits and unenthusiastic staff who seemed dismissive and uninterested. While a few employees were proactive in greeting guests, the overall service lacked warmth and attentiveness. The dining experience was even worse; at the noodle bar, staff gave half-hearted responses to questions about how to get food, leaving several guests visibly upset. This dismissive attitude created an unpleasant atmosphere. Despite the hotel’s potential, the lack of efficiency, care, and enthusiasm made it a regrettable experience. I would hesitate to stay here again.

The room was superb, the pools are beautiful and the furniture is in excellent condition. Breakfast was excellent and the lounge access makes all the difference. Special thanks to the very friendly staff, in particular house keeping, who did a spotless job, and Mrs. Emily, who exceeded all expectations to make our stay unique and special. I am looking forward to returning soon.

Only that I had to leave. The hotel was exceptional.

The hotel is surrounded by nature and a lot of green areas. Room is very decent, it’s soundproof and gives u enough privacy to feel like there is no one around. Interior of the entrance and lobby is designed in a very stylish manner and pleasantly for eyes.

Inconvenient shop where u can buy few drinks and instant noodles only. When u need something other than that there is not so many options. Clothes that they are selling and pool equipments are overpriced.

Difficult to set-up wifi without Chinese phone number

We like a resort the most. It's so big, spacious, big green area, and so many trees. We booked a luxury ocean view room. It's not so luxurious, it's a bit old, but it's big enough, with a nice side ocean view.We had breakfast, and we paid extra for dinner as well, because there were no restaurants and bars near the hotel. The food was really good, mostly Chinese, but there were many other international dishes.The staff is very polite and helpful, especially restaurant manager Mr Ni, from India. The beach is huge, but the waves and current are really strong and there's no swimming allowed. But there are a lot of swimming pools in the resort. There's animation during dinner. Every night is the same, but it's quite interesting, especially the fire show, that we enjoyed the most.

I don't have many things to complain about. I have to say that despite the staff being really polite, their English level is really bad, and most of them don't speak English at all. And as I mentioned already, the room was nice, but it needs some renovation because it looks old.

There's no AC in the Lobby, and no where you can rest in public area with AC...

while everything within the premises were clean, some of the outer areas were not as clean, also public properties like outer sofa and tanning chairs were smelly. in addition to that pool water was not crystal clear, and water temperature was too cold for the kids

Service and swimming pool are good. Great breakfast with a lot of options. Good view from the room.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Sofitel. Staff were really helpful and accommodating. Special thanks to Angela on reception who helped us with all our needs.

When we arrived some facilities were closed which we weren't told about before our arrival. That aside no complaints.

The hotel was lovely, beautiful rooms, great breakfast. Food in the lobby bar, and Thai resto were delicious. Only complaint could be it took a while for food to come. Pools were nice as well, wished the slides were working properly. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

Only improvement to the gardens is to be put in more lights for the paths as the back part of the garden was completely dark when we went for walk after dinner. Also it is a shame that the beach is not better suited for swimming or water sports.

gorgeous property with a variety of pools, gardens and areas to lounge - rooms are large and very comfortable. Joly from Guest Relations was a star and made us feel at home and at ease - we really appreciate her kind attention!

. We didn't like the stuff in kids rooms and the stuff related to kids activities, no one of them really speaks English.

The facilities were excellent! The pools were huge and two of them were heated so we enjoyed it during the lower temperatures of late December.The food was delicious at the restaurant as we enjoyed the breakfast and the new years eve buffet.The room was spacious and had great facilities for my 5 year old daughter. The view was amazing from the room too.The activities for kids were a lifesaver as it kept them busy.

The service was outstanding from one particular person called Rony. However, a couple of times the room service order was muddled and we either received the wrong meal or the a few items missing. The spa massage that we went for could have been a lot better.
